English Exams – TOEIC®

Test of English for International Communication

For 40 years, the TOEIC® test has been the gold standard in demonstrating English language proficiency in the workplace in a fair, valid and reliable way. The TOEIC® test evaluates your ability to communicate effectively in an international work environment.

Moreover, the test questions are based on authentic examples that reflect the changing use of English in the workplace. The test consists of multiple choice questions on reading and listening comprehension.

  • The TOEIC® L&R – Paper based exam and the TOEIC® Bridge exam is available at our Training Centers in Cologne and Saarbrücken.
  • The TOEIC® L&R – Online exam version is available in Cologne and Saarbrücken.

Exam Formats

TOEIC® Listening & Reading – Paper based

  • Classic TOEIC® test with questions on everyday professional situations
  • 200 multiple choice questions: 100 listening comprehension questions, 100 reading comprehension questions
  • Level: A1-C1 (CEFR)
  • Duration: approx. 2 hours
  • Result: score report with score
  • Evaluation: within 7 working days

TOEIC® Listening & Reading – Online

  • Classic TOEIC® test with questions on everyday professional situations
  • Taken online at the Carl Duisberg Training Center under supervision
  • 200 multiple choice questions: 100 listening comprehension questions, 100 reading comprehension questions
  • Level: A1-C1 (CEFR)
  • Duration: approx. 2 hours
  • Result: Score report with score
  • Evaluation: The score report is sent out after 3-4 days

TOEIC® Bridge

  • Specially designed for the assessment of beginner and basic level skills
  • 100 multiple-choice questions: 50 listening comprehension questions, 50 reading comprehension questions
  • Level: A1-B1 (CEFR)
  • Duration: approx. 1 hour individual test
  • Result: score report with score and certificate
  • Evaluation: within 7 working days
